Overview
Uttarakhand is famous for its Temples and Natural beauty that’s why we called it Devbhoomi (Lands of Gods). Kedarnath and Badrinath are two main shrines of Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand and every year lakhs of devotees and pilgrim visit these beautiful places. Kedarnath Dham comes under in Rudraprayag District and Badrinath Dham comes under in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. Both Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham have their own mysterious story. Kedarnath Dham is dedicated to Lord shiva, we also called it Jagrit Mahadev and Badrinath Dham is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Temple is only open in summer season between around April to October month and in winter season temples and yatra remain closed.
Itinerary
After Reaching at Haridwar Railway station board your arrange vehicle and proceed to UKHIMATH / SONPRAYAG / SITAPUR via Deveprayag Sangam (Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi River and origin of Ganges River) After you will also see the Dharidevi Temple which is very ancient and situated in the middle of the Alaknanda River, then proceed to Rudraprayag which is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. You will continue to drive alongside the Mandakini River to reach Guptakashi. On arrival at Guptkashi visit Ardh Narishwar Temple (If Time permit) which is very also famous and dedicated to Lord Shiva (The presiding idol in the temple is actually half man and half women presenting Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati). Ukhimath is a beautiful town which is the winter seat of Shri Kedarnath Ji and Madhyamaheswar Ji (Second Kedar). Overnight stay at the Hotel Guptkashi / Ukhimath / Sonprayag.
After Breakfast check out from hotel and Proceed to Garurikund. From Gaurikund it’s around 16 Km trek to shri Kedarnath ji. After reach at Kedarnath ji check in to hotel and refresh yourself. Later join Evening Aarti and enjoy this divine place of lord Shiva.
Enjoy Kedarnath Darshan and Kedarnath valley & return back to your hotel. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is also known as Jagrit Mahadev. The winter stay of shri Kedar Baba is in Ukhimath. Ukhimath is very beautiful small town and it is surrounded by a many of beautiful places. After Reaching at Kedarnath ji Check in to your Hotel and rest of the free at Leisure at your own.
Overnight stay at Hotel.
Wake up early morning and after taking bath you are at the temple by 06:00 am to 07:00 am for the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund and take a Jeep to Sonprayag. Further drive to Ukhimath and Check-in Hotel. Overnight stay at Ukhimath Hotel.
After hearty breakfast, drive to Badrinath Dham which is last Dham out of Uttarakhand Chardham. After reaching at Badrinath Dham Check-in to the hotel. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund head to the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spotslike Mana Village which is the last village of the Border, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinath ji. Overnight stay at Badrinath hotel.
After hearty breakfast, Check out from Hotel and Day Free at leisure, Explore Shri Badri Narayan Dham. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund head to the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting Sightseeing spots like Mana Village which is the last village of the Border, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee.
Mana Village: It is the last Indian village before Tibet and it is inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe. VyasGufa (cave): Thisis near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata.
Bhim Pul: The Bhim Pul (Bridge) is on the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vasundhara Waterfall: As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 kms away from Badrinath out of which 2 kms. Is motorable up to Mana. Later proceed to Pialkoti / Karnaprayag Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast check out from the hotel & get transferred from to Haridwar. You will back to your home with unforgettable divine memories and blessing.
