Chardham Yatra

Char Dham Yatra is a popular pilgrimage circuit in India that includes four holy sites - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath - all located in the state of Uttarakhand.
The first stop on the yatra is Yamunotri, which is the source of the Yamuna River. The next stop is Gangotri, which is the origin of the Ganges River. Kedarnath is the third stop and is home to the famous Kedarnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Finally, the yatra concludes with a visit to Badrinath, which is one of the most revered Hindu shrines in India and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Every year millions of Devotees come to visit these places from all over the world.

Dodham Yatra

Do Dham Yatra is another popular pilgrimage circuit in India that includes two holy sites - Kedarnath and Badrinath - both located in the state of Uttarakhand. This yatra is considered to be a shorter and less physically challenging alternative to the Char Dham Yatra.

Kedarnath, located at an altitude of 3,583 meters, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and scenic views. The temple is accessible by a 14 km trek from Gaurikund, which is the base camp for the yatra.

Kedarnath Dham Yatra

The Kedarnath Temple, which is situated in the state of Uttarakhand, is the main destination of the Kedarnath Yatra, a well-known pilgrimage journey in India. The temple, one of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlingas, is treasured by Hindu followers as a sacred place.

The town of Rishikesh, which is situated in the Himalayan foothills, is where the yatra often begins. Devotees then proceed to the town of Gaurikund, which is where the walk to the Kedarnath Temple begins. The 14 km-long trip takes roughly 6 to 8 hours to complete. As an alternative, one can fly in a helicopter from Phata or Guptkashi to Kedarnath.

Yatra By Helicopter

Char Dham and Do Dham Yatra and Kedarnath Yatra, offer helicopter services for devotees who wish to undertake the journey in a faster and more convenient way. Helicopter services are particularly popular among elderly people, those with physical disabilities, or those who have time constraints.

Helicopter services for the Char Dham Yatra generally operate from Dehradun and take passengers to each of the four holy sites in the circuit. The journey usually takes around two days to complete, and the helicopters make stops at each of the sites for darshan (worship) before returning to Dehradun.

For the Do Dham Yatra, helicopter services are available from Dehradun and Phata. The journey takes around four to five hours to complete and involves stops at Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Similarly, for the Kedarnath Yatra, helicopter services are available from Phata and Guptkashi, and the journey takes around 30 minutes to complete. Helicopters provide an easy and comfortable way to reach the Kedarnath Temple, especially for those who are unable to undertake the 14 km trek.

Helicopter services are generally more expensive than other modes of travel, but they offer a faster and more convenient way to undertake the yatra, especially for those who are physically unable to undertake the trek or have time constraints.

Panch Kedar Yatra

Panch Kedar Yatra is a pilgrimage circuit in the Indian state of Uttarakhand that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The yatra includes five holy shrines that are collectively known as Panch Kedar, which means "five Shiva temples". The five temples included in this yatra are Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar.
